With the integration of these new variants in single traction, the Polestar 2 also reduces its access price in Europe.
Launched in 2019, the Polestar 2 changes its range for the first time. Two new versions are appearing in the catalog of the electric sedan, which now has three.
In single traction and not in four-wheel drive like the original version, these two new Polestar 2 stand out for both their power and their battery configuration. Named " Long Range Single Motor ", the first retains the 78 kWh battery of the original "Dual Motor", but with a power reduced to 231 hp (170 kW). Less efficient, with a 0 to 100 km / h in 7.4 seconds, it is more efficient with a range exceeding 500 kilometers.
The other version, “Standard Range”, has a smaller 64 kWh battery . This 440 km range model lowers the power to 165 kW, but retains the same performance.
With the new "Standard Range", the Polestar 2 starts between 40,000 and 46,000 euros depending on the country . It thus places itself in head-on competition with the Tesla Model 3.
