Inspired by the original racing Triumph TR6 , made famous by the barbed wire jump scene in the classic 1963 war movie "The Great Escape," the Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition was designed in collaboration with the McQueen family .
Chosen by Steve McQueen to be used in the film, the Triumph TR6 used for the jump was created by a Triumph dealer in the UK and by ISDT winner Ken Heanes, with the addition of sturdy suspension dedicated to the spectacular stunt.

The dedicated color scheme features a Competition Green fuel tank with brushed knee grooves, refined hand-painted gold piping, Triumph heritage logos, Steve McQueen fuel tank graphics , brushed aluminum Monza fuel cap and brushed aluminum fuel tank strap. Original factory-fitted accessories include the high-mounted aluminum front fender in Competition Green finish as well as the rear fender.
In addition to the 1200 XE version, the Steve McQueen Edition includes engine protection bars, which make it even more performing and gritty. Further protection comes from the additional radiator protection grille, fitted as standard, which helps to optimize the air flow.
The equipment of the Steve McQueen Edition is completed by an elegant brown saddle, with stitching and Triumph logo, to underline the classic look of the bike.
