Audi A3 RS3

Audi will launch the fourth generation of its C-segmentcar, the Audi A3,by March 2020. The presentation is expected to take place at next year's Geneva Motor Show. Initially we will have the "basic" petrol and diesel versions of the car, available only with 5 doors.

The new Audi A3 Sportback will be slightly larger than the current model, but at the same time lighter thanks to the MQB Evo platform specially revised and refined and evolved for the new generation of cars that will also include the Seat Leon, the new Volkswagen Golf and the Skoda Octavia 2020.

By the end of 2020 there will be important innovations in the range of the new Audi A3. In fact, at least one rechargeable hybrid version of over 200 hp and one or two g-tron methane variants are expected. The already well-known 1.5 g-tron of 131 hp will certainly arrive, but a second more powerful 160 hp variant could also debut, perhaps in 2021,as it will also be for the other cousins designed on the same platform.

For the end of 2020 we also expect the safe debut of the new Audi S3,which should be equipped with the already known 2.0 liter turbo 4-cylinder, brought to about 330-340 hp and equipped with a micro hybrid 48 V system, exactly as is already the case today on the Audi A6.

The same technology is expected to be exported to the new Audi A3 RS3, an extreme version of ingolstadt's C segment, expected by mid-2021, but whose official debut could be expected as early as the end of 2020. The image we used on the cover is just a render of the new car, taken from the SRK Designs Youtube video:

Of course these are not official photos, but the image gives us an idea of how the new Audi A3 should change in the snout lines. For the RS3 we expect a power increase of 2.5 liters turbo 5 cylinders up to over 420-430 hp. The maximum torque will reach about 500 Nm. The engine will be cleaner thanks also to the adoption of a new particulate filter. The car will have specially created aesthetics and can also be equipped with a braking system with ceramic carbo discs.

The performance of the new Audi A3 RS3 will be 250 km/h of maximum speed and about 3.8 seconds for shooting from 0 to 100. With the Dynamic Plus package, the new Audi RS3 can reach up to 280 km/h. The price of the most extreme version of the new Audi A3 will be around 60 thousand euros. The car will also be available by mid-2021 in a three-volume sedan version.
